I recently did a portrait shoot with the lovely little Lachlan, his mum and Aunty who came over from America to do a roadtrip through the Scottish Islands. They were staying over in Skye for a few days so we arranged to meet up in Elgol. Objects and stones were particularly fascinating to Lachlan so Elgol was the perfect place for him.
The shore in Elgol is stunning with its views over to the Cuillin mountains and also with lots of places to explore including the amazing honeycombed cliffs. When I photograph children I find it best to let them enjoy things naturally as this is when the most natural smiles happen. I just run around round them to get the best angles and backgrounds! I love these images as I feel they capture the true spirit of Lachlan and I hope their family enjoy them in the years to come.
