I live in Drumnadrochit, on the edge of Loch Ness in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland with my two sons. I just bought my own little cottage on one of the oldest and cutest streets in the village.

With my boys I spend as much time as possible exploring the amazing Highlands of Scotland together – I have an obsession with the Scottish Islands. So much so that the boys think getting on a Calmac ferry is as normal as getting the bus into town! One day they will grow up and realise what an incredible childhood they have had….

I recently just had my first solo landscape photography exhibition on the Isle of Harris at Talla Na Mara. A proud moment as I spend all my spare time working on my landscapes. The exhibition is entitled  ” Sea of Solitude”  and is based around finding creativity through remote and inspiring places. I travel solo by choice and  I am a big believer in the power of quiet.

If I had to describe my personality it would be calm, kind, quiet and happy! I truly dedicate myself to everything I do in life with integrity and thought. Whether that is my landscape images or my wedding photography. If you want someone who knows exactly what they are doing and will go about this quietly and effectively at your wedding, I could be the photographer for you!

My love of landscape photography allows me to combine the two genres and to photograph wedding couples within Scotland’s fabulous scenery.

Photographing outdoor weddings within the landscape allows me to capture the beauty of a wedding day as well as the beauty of the landscape.

I love outdoor activities and find it wonderful to see couples marrying outdoors or doing something they love. I have yet to photograph a wedding on skis or surfboards but I’m sure there is time!

0I travel in my gorgeous sprinter van which allows me easy access to some of Scotland’s islands and more remote locations. Sometimes I am travelling for up to a week from wedding to wedding on different islands.

It keeps costs down for you and allows for much more flexibility on my part.  I often call my van my first love and it is the one thing I couldn’t live without.

My travelling doesn’t stop in Scotland and I make sure that I take at least one trip a year overseas by myself to explore places such as Sri Lanka and India.

I surf, walk, paddleboard, cycle and spend most of my life in my wellies and walking boots. The outdoors is where I am most at home – you’ve probably got the idea by now!  I also love wild swimming – even in the winter.

I’m always up for a bit of a hike on a wedding day and I don’t mind a bit of rain. I also adore dogs so please bring them along if you have one! The one in the picture is Ellie – she isn’t mine but I just borrow her whenever humanly possible…
