Award Winning wedding Photographer in Scotland
Just a few of the wedding photography awards that I have received over the past few years as part of the Master Photographers Association and the Society of Portrait and Wedding Photographers
Scottish MPA Wedding Reportage Photographer of the year 2011
I photographed Janice and Owen’s wedding on an extremely blustery day in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Janice really wanted to get some images of her and Owen on their wedding day on the cliff face which drops down to views over the beach and sea. Despite the bands of rain coming in, both the bride and groom decided to go as planned.
We stopped the cars as close as possible to the cliff and battled against the wind to get out. I attempted to gather everyone together into what was a bridal party shot. The little bridesmaids struggled to stand up straight and Janice very nearly lost her veil. Great expressions were the result and a lovely image which encapsulated the spirit of the day. The image won the award for Reportage Wedding Photographer of the year 2011
SWPP Reportage Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010
I photographed Liz and Witt’s wedding at Eilean Donan Castle in 2010. Liz chose to walk over the bridge to Eilean Donan Castle to be married rather than be driven. The horizontal rain and howling wind did not dampen the spirits and Liz’s face just says it all. The image captures a moment of happiness amidst the dramatic weather and won Reportage Wedding Photographer of the Year 2010.
Scottish MPA 3 in 1 Wedding Award Winner 2011
Jillian and Paul were married at Achnagairn House last year. Their day included a cvil ceremony and a Hindu ceremony and a very quick change ! The Hindu ceremony provided a wealth of opportunity of colour, light and expression. The three images below won me the title of Scottish Mario Acerboni wedding photographer of the year for the second year running.
Scottish MPA Open Award Winner 2011
A landscape photograph which was taken late evening on fistral beach in Newquay. A long exposure and some wet feet later – the final image won me the open award at the Scottish MPA regional awards 2011
